Standard Q-Tof instruments allow precursor selection up to m/z 4,000. With the High Mass upgrade package this is extended to m/z 30,000. The resolution on the quadrupole in the low mass region is still sufficient for normal applications, while enabling selection of a single charge state from large complexes at high mass. 8,000 and 16,000 versions are also available, a 54,000 version is under development. All extended quadrupole options are fully controlled by standard MassLynx software.
